March 13, 2026
If you registered for H-1B FY2027, you are probably asking: when will I know if I got selected?
Registration closed March 19, 2026. Here is the timeline based on what USCIS has announced.
When will results be announced?
USCIS will send notifications by March 31, 2026. Check your myUSCIS account — your status will show one of:
- Selected — you can file
- Not Selected — try again next year or explore alternatives
- Submitted — still in the pool (may get selected later)
If "Selected": your filing window is April 1 – June 30, 2026. 90 days only — file early.
If selected, do this now:
1. Confirm in myUSCIS. 2. Prepare I-129 with employer. 3. Gather LCA, degree, resume. 4. File within 90 days. Late = rejected.
Selected ≠ approved. Complete paperwork + on time = your best shot.
If not selected:
1. Wait for second/third round. 2. Consider O-1, L-1, or change of status. 3. Multiple employers? Try another registration next year. 4. On OPT? Keep working while you plan.
Key dates
March 31, 2026 — Results. April 1 — Filing opens. June 30 — Filing closes.
By March 31 you will know. If selected, act fast — 90 days is not much time.
Want to prepare now? Book a consultation and we will help you get ready the moment you are selected.
